SavvyTanks is capable of monitoring:
Up to 3 water sensors. These are pre-named 'Fresh', 'Grey' and 'Black. SavvyTanks works with CBE PC200 tank probes, whether purchased from us or elsewhere.
LPG tanks with built in 0-90 or 0-95 ohm sender. We typically see Gasit and Propex underslung tanks been connected but all 0-95 ohm senders are compatible.
Control 12v Gas Isolation Solenoid.
Grey Waster remote drain point.
SavvyTanks connects back to our control panels using Bluetooth so no wiring is required.
As we try to keep our device as simple as possible, the only thing in the box is SavvyTanks. You may have ordered additional water sensors to work with your device.
Wiring up our device couldn't be simpler. Our module needs only a 12v power supply and to be connected to the sensors of your choice.
To power all of our Add-On's, we simply require a 12v 1a fused supply. As clearly marked on the device, please wire up the 12v supply via the 12v_IN +/- connectors. Please ensure you correctly wire the device, incorrect polarity will damage the unit.
To connect your CBE PC200 Water sensors, remove the white connector from the sender and extend the cable if needed.
On the Tanks unit you will see Tanks 1 - 3 clearly marked. You can use any of these connections for your water probe however the default configuration is:
Tank 1 - Fresh Water
Tank 2 - Grey Water
Tank 3 - Black water.
This is configurable within the display unit.
Connect your wires as labelled:
White = +
Brown = -
Green - S
SavvyTanks will work with any 0-90 or 0-95 ohm sender. The wiring is not polarity specific and so these can be wired up to the GAS screw terminals either way round.
From your Gas sender, you should have 2 wires, simply connect these to SavvyTanks to the connectors labelled GAS.
SavvyTanks is capable of controlling a remote gas solenoid for your underslung gas tanks. This is fully tested with Gasit and Propex tanks however works with any 12v solenoid.
To connect your solenoid, connect it to your 12v supply as per the manufactures instructions. To switch the supply from on/off, connect your Negative wire from the solenoid to either NO or NC (See Below) on the relays highlighted. Your ground or Negative wire from the power source should connect to COM.
Each of the relays has 3 connections:
NO (Normally Open) - The default setting is OFF, activating the switch will turn it ON.
COM (Common) - Connect to Ground
NC (Normally Closed) - The default setting is ON, activing the switch with turn if OFF.
SavvyTanks can connect to a 12v auto return remote drain valve for your water tank.
To connect your 12v operated drain valve. Connect the live wire to your 12v feed as per the manufacturer’s recommendation. Similar to the Gas solenoid, To switch the supply from on/off which will activate the valve, connect your Negative wire from the valve to either NO or NC (See Below) on the relays highlighted.
To connect to SavvyTanks via Bluetooth using your SavvyVan display, please navigate to settings > Enter your passcode > Bluetooth Devices > Scan for devices.
